This page explains the cookies this website uses, what each one does, and how to change your choice. It should be read alongside our Privacy Notice.
The short version. This site sets no cookies at all unless you accept them. If you accept, we set two Google Analytics cookies so we can see how many people visit and which parts of the page are read. Nothing is used for advertising, and nothing is sold.
A cookie is a small text file a website asks your browser to store. It lets the site recognise the same browser on a later visit. Some cookies are necessary for a site to work; others, like the ones we use for statistics, are optional and need your permission first.
We store one item on your device to remember whether you accepted or declined cookies. Without it we would have to ask you on every page. It holds only your choice, no personal information, and it is not shared with anyone.
| Name | Purpose | Expires |
|---|---|---|
| calcon-cookie-consent | Remembers whether you accepted or declined analytics cookies | Until you clear your browser storage |
If you accept, Google Analytics sets the following. If you decline, they are never set.
| Name | Purpose | Expires |
|---|---|---|
| _ga | Distinguishes one visitor from another so visits are not double counted | 2 years |
| _ga_42QPQYX1J9 | Keeps track of the current visit | 2 years |
We use Google Analytics to understand which pages and sections people actually read, so we can improve them. We do not use Google Analytics for advertising, and advertising features are switched off.
You can change your choice at any time using the Cookie settings link in the footer of any page. You can also delete cookies through your browser settings, or browse in a private window so nothing is stored after you close it.
Declining analytics cookies does not affect anything on the site. Every page works the same either way.
If we add or remove cookies, we will update this page and change the date at the top.
